Shipping Policy

Handling Time

Handling time varies depending on the size of the order and the current workload of this handmade business. In general, orders for small and simple products are processed and shipped within 3–10 business days. Custom-made items, hand-stitched pieces, or products with decorative details may require additional time due to the complexity of the production process.

Shipping Time

Delivery times are estimates and may not always align perfectly with actual transit times. Patience and understanding are appreciated.

For many countries, both Standard Shipping and Express Shipping are available:

  • Standard Shipping: approx. 2–30 business days, depending on the destination.

  • Express Shipping: approx. 1–6 business days, depending on the destination.

  • Free Standard Shipping is available for the following countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Austria, Romania, and Slovenia.

  • Free worldwide shipping on orders over €200 applies only to Standard Shipping.

The final shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout based on the delivery address.

Order Tracking

Once tracking information is provided by the shipping carrier, it will be sent via email. Please allow some time for the tracking details to become active.

Customs Fees & Import Duties

All products are shipped from within the European Union.

  • Within the EU: No customs fees or import duties apply.

  • Outside the EU (e.g., USA, Australia, Canada, Asia, etc.): Orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees according to the laws of the destination country. These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost.

Customs fees vary from country to country and are determined by local customs authorities. The recipient is responsible for paying these charges upon delivery.

If a package is held for customs clearance, the customer is responsible for any additional fees or paperwork required by local authorities.

No responsibility is taken for delays caused by customs processing. If a package is refused or returned due to unpaid customs duties or taxes, shipping costs will not be refunded.

Unclaimed Packages

If a package is not claimed and is returned, reshipping may be requested. The order will be resent upon repayment of the shipping costs. If no response is received within 60 days, the order will be canceled without a refund.

Lost or Damaged Packages

No responsibility is assumed for lost or damaged packages due to incorrect shipping addresses or unclaimed deliveries. Once tracking confirms delivery, the order is considered complete.

If a delivery issue is suspected, customers are encouraged to make contact so that a solution may be explored.

Non-Refundable Shipping Costs

All shipping fees are non-refundable.

Currency

All prices in this store are displayed in EUR (€). At checkout, payment will be processed in the customer’s local currency whenever possible. The final amount charged may differ slightly from the displayed amount due to currency conversion rates and payment provider fees.


Return Policy

The goal is to ensure complete satisfaction with every purchase — from browsing the website to enjoying each handcrafted item. Every interaction is approached with care, precision, and integrity, with the same expected from customers.

Providing accurate measurements and selecting the correct size is the responsibility of the customer. Guidance and a detailed sizing chart are available prior to placing an order.

If an item does not fit due to incorrect size selection, an exchange or modification may be possible, but it is not guaranteed. Each case is assessed individually. Some adjustments, such as shortening or reducing size, are usually simpler, while increasing size may require creating a new product from scratch. Since production takes hours or even days, such requests may be declined. For any size modifications, all shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Return Procedure

  • Contact within 14 days: If an item is damaged or does not meet expectations, contact must be made within 14 days of receiving the product at info@toughlove-leather.com.

  • Customer-related issues: If a size adjustment is possible and agreed upon, the customer is responsible for all related shipping costs.

Return and Exchange Conditions

  • Product condition: Returns must be in the original condition and packaging. If the item is not returned as originally received, the customer is responsible for any loss in value.

  • Wrong or damaged item: A return or exchange is available only if the wrong item, color, or a defective product was sent in error.

  • Misuse of the product: Damages caused by improper use are not covered.

Important Information

  • Returns are not accepted for used, personalized, or specially marked products in cases of a change of mind.

  • For incorrect size selection, adjustments may be possible only by prior agreement, with all shipping costs covered by the customer.

  • Contact must always be made before returning or exchanging an item. Do not send items back without prior agreement.

  • If a courier returns a package due to failed delivery or lack of response from the recipient, the shipping cost will not be refunded.


Lifetime Repairs

Lifetime repairs apply to all craftsmanship. High-quality vegetable-tanned leather is a naturally durable material that, when properly maintained, can last a lifetime. Combined with expert handcrafting, this ensures long-term product durability.

This guarantee covers only products that have not been damaged due to improper use, excessive force, or exposure to unsuitable conditions. These items are not designed to bear heavy weights, withstand crushing pressure, or be submerged in water. Regular care, such as applying leather balm or shoe polish, helps preserve quality.

The lifetime guarantee includes edge refinishing, ornament repainting, stitch repairs, and similar services. All labor is free of charge, while shipping and material costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Replacement of non-leather components (such as metal hardware or elastic bands on corsets) can be arranged. However, as these components are not handmade leatherwork, their durability cannot be guaranteed. In such cases, the full cost of labor, materials, and shipping will apply.
