Product Care

I craft every piece from vegetable-tanned, full-grain double bend—a dense, high-quality, naturally water-resistant cut of cowhide. Each item is hand-dyed, and many designs feature hand-painted micro-details. Because every piece is truly handmade leather from raw hide to finish, a little care goes a long way.

Storage
Keep the product in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and frost. Store it loosely (not compressed) to prevent creasing. If you wear the piece over clothing, make sure the garment underneath is colorfast; if fabric dye transfers onto the leather, that is an issue with the garment, not the leather.

Cleaning
Start with a soft shoe brush to lift dust and refresh the surface—often that’s all you need. If more is required, use a soft, slightly damp cloth (ideally distilled water) on the grain side only and avoid the interior. A light color rub-off can occur on hand-dyed leather when damp; this is normal, and the color stabilizes once dry. Be extra gentle around hand-painted ornaments.

Conditioning
About once a year, apply a neutral, transparent leather cream/wax sparingly to the grain side. Use an especially light touch over areas with hand-painted details. Let it dry. Do not treat the interior.

Important
Do not machine-wash or use detergents. For stains or deep cleaning, consult a professional leather cleaner.
